I think Courtney will reappear again next season and we will see her grow up little by little I think possibly it is a reverse on the Pond situation, what happens if you meet the Doctor as a child but he does not disappear for 12 years but pops back, it could be an interesting idea depending on keeping the same actress and especially if they continue it through to a next regeneration at some point, the others all witnessed regenerations if I am remembering rightly but imagine if one day he just shows up in Courtney’s life says hello I’m back but with a new face it gives the possibility for all sorts of dynamics

I understand what you mean – they can’t please all of the people all of the time, especially on Dr Who. I should say, all of my criticisms come from a place of love, and I never don’t watch episodes. There were good ideas in this, they just didn’t work as a whole.

Re Courtney, I agree that she is an accurate portrayal of a teenager (I think I mentioned it briefly in this review but if I didn’t I meant to do so), but I guess my issue is that such a character doesn’t really work for the show as it currently is. At least, not unless they find child actors of the calibre of a Maisie Williams or someone.

I didn’t like Clara’s attitude but I have to be honest that can partly be because I really have never engaged with her as a companion in this incarnation I still prefer soufflé girl
